A combination of substandard grouting material and poor workmanship over the past 10 years has resulted in identified structural issues and premature deterioration of critical PT reinforcement in structures across the UAE. This talk will highlight investigation methodology to identify potential critical structural defects and premature deterioration in bonded PT systems, explain the range of repair and protection solutions that can restore structural integrity and re-establish service life of critical PT infrastructure.
Clyde Ellis is the Vice President of STRUCTURAL Middle East and the General Manager of SPME. He has over 18 years of experience developing innovative design-build solutions for the repair of building and civil infrastructure. In the US, Clyde’s past experience included working for Structural Technologies LLC, the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of VSL post-tensioning systems. VSL is the international leader in post-tensioning technology, design engineering and products. In this position, he was responsible for developing the transportation business with a focus on forensics/inspection, force protection, structural strengthening, and repair and corrosion protection systems.
